Goodbye State College! At least for a bit...
My job as Raptor Center Intern came to an end. I accomplished a lot there: restraining birds for immunizations, presenting with the birds at numerous venues across the state, and glove training not one, but two birds! It felt like time to move on.
But on to what? I have been working on going to South Africa for my masters degree for almost a year now...and I am still here. Why? The program I am applying to is a research masters, so I can start anytime. However, since I will be there for longer than three months, I need to fill out a temporary residence permit. Which involved many details, one is an official acceptance letter from the university (please accept me!).
Once I have all the items, I will send them off for my VISA stamp. Then I am free to go whenever! So right now I am reading journal articles to get my scientific writing juices going and spending time with family and friends.
So if you are wondering what I am up to follow this blog or my new Twitter account (gasp!).
